Environmentalist Andrei Zatoka will face trial on February 7

According to Zatoka's wife Yevgenia, charges under four articles of the Criminal Code were pressed against the environmentalist.

Article 287 deals with illegal purchase, sale, possession, transportation, or carrying of lethal weapons, munitions, high explosives, or explosive devices (up to five years imprisonment).

Article 288 deals with illegal manufacture of lethal weapons, munitions, high explosives, or explosive devices (up to three years; if in a gang or if the offense is repeated, between two and five years imprisonment).

Article 302 deals with illegal deals with poisons (up to three years imprisonment).

Article 306 deals with illegal purchase and sale of venom (up to two years).

The recently formed International Committee for Andrei Zatoka appeals to foreign embassies and first and foremost the Embassy of the Russian Federation to send their representatives to the trial.
