Turkmenistan and Tajikistan will restore aerial and auto service and establish joint ventures

Agreements to restore aerial and auto service and establish joint ventures were signed in the course of Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon's visit to Turkmenistan. The heads of states signed a joint communique and a convention against double taxation and tax evasion.

"Potential of cooperation is colossal," Rakhmon was quoted assaying. The two presidents are convinced that the agreements will facilitate cooperation, establishment of joint ventures, and protection of investments. A joint commission for economic cooperation was set up.

Turkmen and Tajik foreign ministers meanwhile signed an accord on protection of classified information.

On Monday, the president of Tajikistan will attend the opening of the UN Preventive Diplomacy Regional Center in Ashkhabad and the international conference.

On December 11, Rakhmon will visit the Turkmenbashi port to get first-hand knowledge of Avaza tourist zone construction and work of the refineries located there.
